How it works
In a typical curved smart-glass construction, a PDLC privacy layer forms part of a curved laminate. The switching principle is similar to flat PDLC glass: the powered state gives a clearer view, while the unpowered state appears frosted. Geometry and manufacture introduce additional constraints, so a flat-panel specification cannot simply be transferred to any curve.
The design review should establish the radius, chord width, arc length, height and relationship between adjoining panels. The supporting structure, edge connections and tolerances also need coordination.
We also consider how the glass reaches its final position. Door openings, lifts, lifting access and the installation sequence can influence panel divisions. Send a plan and elevation rather than only a sketch of the finished appearance; this makes the early assessment much more useful.
